In Class Group Presentations using Google Slides

This would be a project to work on over four partial lesson plans days after the EL Civics Employment unit. Linda Laymon followed this lesson plan with her Beginning High class at Sunrise Tech Center.

1. First day, last half hour of class, I had the students get into groups of 4-5 people. Within the teams, they discussed who will be the team leader, the computer expert/slide designer, the creator of the company, and possible questions in an interview. Think of what kind of company the group will form and what the company does.
2. Second day, the teams got together again the last half hour of class. They finished discussing the company name and what it does, available position(s) open, and possible questions in an interview.
3. Third day, teacher and students followed the instructions in the link below for the Google Slides presentation design. This will take approximately 1 1/2 hours of class time in the computer lab if you can get it. Or use the Chrome books.

On the fourth day, the students will give their team presentations using their Google Slides. Each person on the team will participate in the presentation.
